Space Camp is currently holding a contest to help them “Re-name the Reunion.”

To submit your idea, visit www.spacecamp.com/reunion. Nominations are being accepted now through June 5, 2009. Saturn V Executive Committee members will select five names from those nominations, and the public will be able to vote for their favorite of the Final Five on the same web site from June 12th through July 8, 2009. The person submitting the winning name will receive a one-year family membership to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and the new name will be announced at this year’s reunion.

Personally, I never thought that was anything wrong with “Reunion Weekend,” but then again, I guess I’m just an engineer with no imagination!

Also, Alumni Andi came out of hiding to make a HabForum post about this contest. You can go discuss your ideas for names in her thread.

Alumni Andi has recently made a post on her blog after quite the leave of absence!

In the post, she provides some links to two contests where you might just win a trip to Space Camp!

Because if there's anything better than a trip to Space Camp, it would have to be a free trip to Space Camp!

Update: So, apparently, she once again did not intend for this video to be consumed by the general public. In my opinion, putting it up on the most popular place to share videos with the entire planet wasn't really the best strategy to achieve the goal of not having said planet look at the thing, but nevertheless. Harmakis has once again removed the video and that is her right.
I wonder when we'll find out who won?

...It's a shame they won't be handing out the trips in time for the December 29 - January 3 session! Speaking of which, there are still a few spots open for ASA/Adult ASA...If you're not sure what to get your child/significant other for Christmas...give the gift of Space Camp!

Additionally, if you're into strategy games, Moonbase Commander is certainly worth a look. It's not neary as complex as other games in the genre, but in its simplicity, it is surprisingly addicting. Don't believe me? Try the demo.

Companies seem to just want to give free trips to Space Camp more and more these days!

This time, startrek.com is offering a free trip for 4 to Space Camp (So this way, when you win, you can take your favorite Space Camp community website webmaster with you !!!
